1. What This Website Is

This is an independent private reference site, not a public office. It neither stores official criminal files nor retrieves records, performs official checks, or submits paperwork for a visitor.

The content identifies custodians of Pettis County records, including the sheriff, Circuit Court, Missouri State Highway Patrol CJIS repository, and Missouri State Highway Patrol Sex Offender Registry. Some pages also link to outside research tools.

2. Rules for Using This Site

By using the site, you agree not to:

• Use the pages in violation of federal, Missouri, or local law
• Threaten, stalk, harass, or intimidate a person with information found here
• Use site content for an FCRA-regulated credit, employment, housing, or insurance decision
• Attempt unauthorized access to any system or account

3. No Harassment, Stalking, or Discrimination

Information from these pages or a linked tool may not be used to harass, stalk, threaten, intimidate, or discriminate. Misuse may also violate criminal law. Missouri publishes sex offender registry data for public safety, not vigilantism or retaliation. A registry listing is never permission to contact or target a listed person.

4. We Are Not a Consumer Reporting Agency

We are not a consumer reporting agency under the FCRA and do not produce consumer reports, credit reports, or official background checks. Advertising partners are not presented as services for judging applicants, renters, creditworthiness, or insurance risk. Data from this site or a linked tool may not be used to:

• Set insurance terms or assess creditworthiness
• Make a hiring or firing decision
• Evaluate a renter or housing applicant
• Decide eligibility for a license, permit, or government benefit
• Carry out any other activity regulated by the FCRA

A person or organization with a lawful regulated purpose must use an authorized, FCRA-compliant provider and follow all consent, notice, and accuracy duties.

5. No Legal Advice

General information is not legal advice. Only a licensed Missouri attorney can advise how a charge, conviction, warrant, or expungement law applies to a specific Pettis County matter.
